The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (aka CDC) published a wonderful article recently to help pet owners plan for the types of disasters that could potentially happen in your area, and how to put together a disaster kit for your pets. You can help protect the health of your pet, your family, as well as others in your community by being prepared for the unexpected.
The CDC says that after getting familiar with the types of disasters that could impact you, you should begin to consider your options for providing care for your pets. Equally important is ensuring that your pet’s identification tag contact information is up to date.
