Wiggles n Wags is thrilled to be a part of A-Day this year! Not only does it give us a chance to be out and about in the community, it also allows us to help raise funds for the students in our community too!
While this event tends to be referred to as a little hidden gem, A-Day is actually part of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs. Students of campus clubs who participate as active members of A-Day can earn money for their organizations by working in a variety of booths, tents, or exhibits throughout the weekend.
In 1949, when it first began at DelVal, A-Day was a single day where DelVal students worked together to showcase various agricultural displays and exhibits. Today, A-Day is a whole weekend, and continues with the hard work and dedication of the students at DelVal, raising money for scholarships. The event now showcases what students are doing in a wide variety of majors from DelVal’s three undergraduate schools: business and humanities, life and physical sciences and agriculture and environmental sciences. Students studying majors such as business, literary studies, counseling psychology and chemistry now take part in the popular event to showcase what they are doing at the University.
We hope to see you there!

About:
A-Day, which stands for Activities Day, is a family friendly event organized and run by the students of Delaware Valley University to benefit campus activities and clubs. This three-day event brings the campus and the surrounding community together for educational exhibits, competitions, entertainment, fun, and great food such as thick, homemade milkshakes and delicious funnel cakes.
The first A-Day was held May 21, 1949 on the campus of the National Agricultural College. At that time, A-Day was a single day when the students of the college worked together to showcase various agricultural displays and exhibits. Today the tradition continues with the hard work and dedication of the students of Delaware Valley University. The entire event is planned and implemented by the students with minimal guidance from the university’s staff, faculty, and administration. Since 2004, A-Day has been part of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs. Members of the university and local community are invited to enter their food items, artwork, or handicrafts for judging in the fair.
