The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters recently published a great list of tips for us all to help us remember that our pets may not have as much fun on Halloween as we humans do.
Here are the highlights of the article:
- If you’re hosting a Halloween party or just welcoming trick or treaters, keep your pet in a separate room, away from all the hustle and bustle.
- It can be stressful for our pets to be in a costume, no matter how cute they look.
- Keep all of the candy out of reach at all times! If your pet does get into candy, they could have also ingested the wrappers, which can cause bowel obstructions that may require surgery.
**Remember that the Animal Poison Control Center is available 24/7 – 855-764-7661
So enjoy Halloween night to the fullest… just keep pet safety in the forefront of your mind!
Happy Halloween everyone!
